Please be advised, asphalt maintenance will be completed in your community by Volker Stevin from June 19 – 26 to meet City requirements. We hope to minimize disruption for residents and maintain a safe environment for your families and our employees.
Work includes application of road tar and hot oil, paving, street cleaning, raising manholes and road repairs. Please exercise caution when driving over protruding manholes and fresh oil.
Fresh asphalt is extremely hot. There is the potential to burn skin upon contact. Please keep children and pets out of construction areas and away from freshly applied asphalt materials.
There will be an approved parking ban and tow away in effect during this period. Please be available to remove vehicles from the street and parking stalls around the central park between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Some residents will have limited access to your driveways during the work and until paving is complete and signs removed.
Fresh oil will stick to your tires and transfer to your driveway and is virtually impossible to remove. Volker Stevin will not be responsible for its removal from vehicles or concrete. Signs will be placed at the entrances to the work areas when fresh oil is to be applied. Please watch for these signs and avoid driving on your driveways when these signs are up.
